2010 Marine Corps – Law Enforcement Foundation Charity Bike Ride: D.C. – NYC

2nd Annual 2010 MC-LEF Charity Bike Ride: D.C. – NYC

Throughout the past eight years our country's commitment to freedom has come at a great price. No one knows that better than the left-behind sons and daughters of America's fallen heroes.

Our foundation's mission is to encourage the spiritual, moral, intellectual and physical development of these children through education. The money we raise pays for their college tuition. MC-LEF has no employees, only volunteers. This ensures that 100% of each dollar donated goes directly to our cause. Few other charities can boast of this. Please click on the link to the left to read more.

During the weekend of June 11th, a Platoon (-) of Marines, re-enforced by a detachment of motivated civilians will be biking from the Iwo Jima Memorial in Arlington National Cemetery, North to Ground Zero; 255 miles in total.

Our request is your sponsorship. Last year our goal was to raise $25,000, we raised $50,000. This year we set our sights on raising $100,000, and are determined to accomplish our mission.

Please follow the link to the right, and know that a donation of $1,000, $100, or even $10 will have a lasting impact on a child who has lost a parent during this fight.

Your participation is greatly appreciated, and please feel free to pass this along to whomever you feel may be interested in our cause.

Respectfully, Team MC-LEF

P.S. In the "comments" box identify the name of the rider you are supporting and note that your donation is on behalf of the "2010 MC-LEF Charity Bike Ride". This will more easily allow us to keep track of the money we raise.

P.P.S. If you are interested in participating in either the full three days (255 miles) of the ride or even just the final day (100 miles) please contact Dave Myers - myers.daverATgmail.com.
